Privacy notice

This notice explains how EnquiryScore handles information. It is kept up to date as the service develops, and the date of the last change is shown at the foot of this page.

Public website crawling

To produce a score, EnquiryScore examines information that is publicly available from the web address you provide. This involves retrieving and analysing publicly accessible pages and signals associated with that address. It only accesses content that is already public.

Audit inputs

The main input is the website address you choose to check. From that, EnquiryScore derives observable signals used in the six scoring categories. You are in control of what you submit for a check.

Questionnaire answers

Some categories rely on short questions answered by the business owner. These owner-confirmed answers are used to complete the relevant parts of the score. They are clearly labelled as owner-confirmed within the report.

Report delivery

You can view core results without providing an email address. If you choose to receive a full report, you may optionally provide an email address so the report can be delivered to you. Providing an email is optional and only used for that purpose unless you separately agree otherwise.

Report storage & retention

Reports and the inputs used to generate them are stored so that results can be shown, re-opened and delivered. A completed report and the owner-confirmed answers behind it are kept for 90 days, after which they are deleted. A check that is never completed, or that fails, is removed after 30 days. Technical logs are kept for around 90 days. An email address given for report delivery is kept for 90 days and used only for that delivery, unless you separately opt in to hear more from us.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses a small number of cookies and similar browser storage. Some are strictly necessary, which means the site needs them to work properly and to remember the cookie choice you make. These are always on and cannot be switched off.

Beyond those, EnquiryScore uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are used and where people get stuck, so the site can be improved over time. Analytics only runs if you agree to it. Until you make a choice, analytics and advertising storage stay switched off and nothing is sent to Google.

EnquiryScore does not currently run advertising, so the marketing category stays off unless you turn it on yourself.

You can change your mind whenever you like. Open your cookie settings to review or withdraw your choices. Your preference is kept in your own browser rather than on our servers, so clearing your browsing data resets it and you will be asked again.
